Mona Sadeghpour, MD
A graduate of Yale Medical School, Dr. Mona Sadeghpour is an award-winning, Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Cosmetic Dermatologist and one of only a select few physicians in western Pennsylvania to have completed the highest level of training in laser and cosmetic dermatology through nationally accredited residency and fellowship programs. Dr. Sadeghpour’s academic path reflects an uncompromising pursuit of excellence. After immigrating to the U.S. at an early age, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas Honors Program, delivering the commencement address for her class. She earned her medical degree from Yale, where she devoted an additional year to a National Institutes of Health research fellowship to advance understanding of the immune system’s role in skin cancer. Her medical journey continued in Pittsburgh, where she completed her dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, one of the nation’s top dermatology training programs. There, she served as Chief Resident and received the John McSorley Award for best overall achievement in patient care and research upon graduation. She then completed the prestigious American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship in Laser and Cosmetic Surgery at the renowned SkinCare Physicians in Boston, training with world leaders and pioneers in the field.
Dr. Sadeghpour’s research has earned competitive national awards, including the Frederic Brandt Grant from the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery for her work in melasma, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery award for innovations in tattoo removal, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Carruthers Award for novel understandings in filler safety. This commitment to research ensures her patients benefit from treatments that are both safe and backed by the latest understandings in science.
Dr. Sadeghpour has served as Director of the Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Program at the University of Colorado, trained future dermatologists in evidence-based cosmetic procedure techniques, and built a devoted following in Denver, the original location of SkinMed Institute.
